Today I was up at 6:00, pondering the possibility that we may lose power at any minute due to the thick coating of ice embracing the trees. With 24 acres of trees, there is no doubt that there is more damage then I can see from our windows. Last night we heard a loud crack that turned out to be half of a tree that went down within 75 feet of the house. Many branches are down, and most trees have branches drooped to the ground. It's beautiful, really, but the weather report predicts a Windy day. That could be devastating. So, I'm on the computer earlier then usual, ready to post my card for today, but ready to head into town to knit at YLYS for the day if we lose power.
