Daffodil Delight? Not Today!

Michigan, I love Michigan.  I love the change of seasons.  I even love the unpredictable weather. If all our days were warm and sunny I'd never get anything done inside! Peering out my window today is a totally different picture than we saw just last Friday.  My daffodils are drooping their little heads and shivering in the cold.  This is the look out my front window, then out back.  Do you see the robin sitting in the tree?  She's plumped up her feathers in an attempt to keep warm.  No worms in her diet today!

If you read my posting last Friday, you remember that I bought a flat of the most adorable Johnny Jump Ups to share with my Stamp Camp friends.  I had planned on planting the rest of them in a large pot that sits just outside my slider, on my deck.  However, if you are a Michigander, you know that yesterday was cold and very windy.  Consequently these sweet little flowers are still sitting on my kitchen counter. They really are beautiful, and smell incredible!  Hopefully the snow will melt and I'll be able to get them into the dirt soon.

Stamp Camp on Saturday was quite fun.  A small group of 7 ladies made for a smooth process of getting all the projects completed in plenty of time to enjoy lunch.  Jean was able to slip home in time to watch her favorite team, the Red Wings, win the playoff game against Phoenix.  Yeah!  I have purchased a second Big Shot, so that in itself helps move things along, with no waiting.  Today's project seemed to be enjoyed by everyone.  It's a full size composition book covered with our Springtime Vintage Designer Papers.  The first one is my example.  The other two were made by two of the guests.  Sorry I can't remember who did these, but they were all too cool.  Everyone did a great job on these. This journal would make a great graduation gift for any young lady.

Here are the supplies you'll need to complete today's project:

Stamp Set:  Word Play

Paper:  Springtime Vintage Designer Paper, sheets of coordinating cardstock for the title and layering and for the back cover.

Other Supplies:  Seam Binding (Rose Red and Almost Artichoke are shown here), Adornments (these cute vintage flowers can be found in the Occasions Mini Catalog- but they'll be gone the end of April, $5.95 for 24 pieces, 8 ea. of 3 colors; Very Vanilla, Rose Red and Baja Breeze), Rose Red and Almost Artichoke Craft Ink, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool.

Thank you for reading today's post.  I do appreciate your interest in all my stamping projects because I love to share them!
