Gone Fishin'

I had forgotten how calming and relaxing it was to sit out on the lake with a pole in the water, listening to the sound of gentle waves lapping up against our aluminum boat.  I'd also forgotten how exciting it was to finally see that bobber dip down ever so quickly signaling a hungry fish has found that little worm to be a delectable delight.  That is how my husband and I spent Sunday evening.  A cool but calm evening, surrounded by bass fishermen, more serious then we were about the size of our catch.  We didn't catch any bass, but we're convinced that two of the fish that my husband had on the line weren't just pan fish as they gave quite a struggle, then headed for the weeds.  The anticipation was still fun, even though we lost them.  Tonight we'll feast on blue gills and sunfish, yum.

Today's card has absolutely nothing to do with fishing.  Nothing!  But sometimes I have an experience that I just love to share, and last evening was one of them.  On the contrary, this card is about flowers and sunshine, bright colors and that special friend that you would send this card to.  This single stamp, from the Summer Mini Catalog, was colored directly onto the stamp with our marvelous markers.  Say 'Hello' to someone you love!

Now check out the picture of my hanging basket. Looks like Melon Mambo to me!
