On May 30th, many of my customers, 17 in all, came to my Open House to share in the excitement of the NEW 2012-2013 Stampin' UP! Catalog. It was just a perfect day, with friends dropping by all day long. An hourly door prize kept everyone on their toes, anticipating the moment their name would be drawn. I gave away a total of 7 stamp sets! Everyone also received a full sheet of each of the 5 NEW In Colors!
Some gals went immediately to the crafting room to do their make and take. While others sat and perused the new catalog, carefully making sure they didn't miss anything new. I served some tasty snacks, keeping everyone nourished and hydrated as they dug their heals in and took the marvelous journey through the new catalog. Each guest received a small purse (with a Lindt Dark Chocolate Truffle inside) made with the new Petite Purse die. I made them all in the new In Color, Midnight Muse, which is one of my favorites. I'm also loving Summer Starfish, especially in a color combo with Midnight Muse and Soft Subtle. The make and take we did at the Open House uses Cajun Craze, Soft Suede and Summer Starfish. What a great combination. Mary Fish posted a similar card on her blog, I cased the basic design and colors. Thank you, Mary, for your wonderful creative talent. Isn't it just lovely!
The polka dot element is stamped from Layered Labels and die cut with a die from Apothecary Accents Framelits (I am so loving all these Framelits, I must have them all). The designer paper is from Comfort Cafe. Love it! Everyone enjoyed using all the new products, and seemed very happy with their own personal creations.
My head is still reeling with all the ideas using all the new products! My WISH LIST is long, and although many items have been purchased (or received FREE) and crossed off, the list continues to grow as I see projects online that I just have to do!!!! My customers depend on my keeping things fresh and new so I will trudge on through thick and thin to provide them with the most up to date ideas and techniques!!! It certainly helped that I received $165 in free merchandise, plus 3 items at 50% off after holding my open house. Woo Hoo!!!!
