My Friend

It's going to be a HOT day in Michigan.  I'm looking forward to spending part of the day with bible study friends at the lake.  Hopefully it will be a tad cooler on the water.  Deciding that it's definitely a 'hair up' kinda day!

I love making flowers, especially with the Big Shot dies.  This particular card uses a couple different dies and also the crimper.  The crimper is one of those tools that I don't use much anymore, but it still adds wonderful dimension to any project.  Maybe you can't tell from the picture, but the bottom flower on the card was run through the crimper about 20 times.  I was trying to break down the paper fibers so it would look a bit tattered.  At some point the paper layers begin to separate, and that's the look we want, I don't think I worked long enough on this one.

Here are the supplies I used to make today's card, which was designed by Mary Fish:

Stamp Set:  My Friend

Paper:  Pocketful of Posies Designer Paper, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, and So Saffron Cardstock

Ink:  Pear Pizzazz

Punches:  3/4" Circle, Boho Blossoms

Big Shot Dies:  Tasteful Trim, Fun Flowers

Other Supplies:  Pear Pizzazz Poly Ribbon, Crimper, Dimensionals

I hope you enjoyed today's post!
