Goodbye Summer

It's hard to believe that October is almost here.  As I look out my windows at my gardens I can see the last showing of color, and plants like Joe Pye Weed are turning brown and saying goodbye to summer.  I love this time of year though.  I especially love working outside, layered up for the cooler weather.  There's always so much to do, I'm glad I'll have my 'garden helper' this year.  For those of you who don't remember my husband bought me a golf cart to help preserve my short little legs. That will be an enormous help.  I always try to buy a few new bulbs each year, which I did the other day. Wedel's has a wonderful variety!  I bought some very sweet  crocus' called Zwanenburg Bronze, and some Parrot Tulips. Just need to get them in the ground before the snow flies.

Today's card is an example of simple.  Sometimes I just like to let the stamps do all the work. Here I've used Summer Silhouettes.  No fancy embellishments, just Whisper White cardstock.  I love to cut panels like this and raise them up off of the main card.

I used Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard and Summer Starfruit.

The gratitude stamp comes from the Fabulous Phrases stamp set.  I'm hoping that this set never hits the retired list as I use it so much.  In the picture below you can also see the ruffled scalloped edge that was made with one of the Adorning Accents Edgelits.  It adds a nice touch.

I do hope that you enjoyed today's project.  And I hope each of you has a fabulous weekend!

Thanks for stopping by!
