The leaves are coming down pretty good with all the rain we've had. Thankfully we still have some gorgeous maples that just seem to glow in the sunshine. Yes, I did say sunshine! The sun has been out all day, and it's just been lovely.
Today's project is made with the French Foliage stamp set. I'm so glad this set is still around. We'll be using it again at my mini-stamp camp next week. The technique is what I call triple time layering. I've heard it called triple stamping, and I'm sure you've heard it called something else all together. But the gist of it is the same. Three layers of white cardstock, cut in sizes to be pleasing to the eye, are placed one on top of the other, then they are stamped. Once the stamping is done, the colored layers are added. It's really a fun technique, and quite easy to do. This is a CAS that was designed by Eileen LeFevre.
If you look close you can see that the dark blue leaf on the middle left has been cut out to give the card some dimension.
Adding the button and linen thread gives it even more interest.
The 'smile' stamp is from Fabulous Phrases and then punched out with the small oval punch.
Happy Fall!
