Single Stamps!

Have you ever looked at a stamp set and thought 'I'd really like just that one stamp from the set, but I don't know what I'd do with the rest of them'?  Stampin' UP! answered our beckoned call on that one by offering an array of single stamps in 2012.  Since it was a trial, to see how many would jump on the opportunity to buy single stamps, the 'promotional singles' retired January 2nd.  There are still singles for sale in the current catalogs, and you've seen them here on my blog, like the stamp Just Thinking (that one is a winner, and available in the spring catalog).  

Last week I held a class, focusing on the single stamp Love Heart. Each guest received their very own stamp to use at the class and then to take home.  It was a small class,  the class had to be closed out early due to the Love Heart stamp not being available after January 2nd.  Late comers were just plain out of luck!  The cool thing is that the cards I made that day could be substituted with ANY heart stamp, or merely a punched out heart.  Oh, we love our hearts this time of year as love is in the air!

The layout should look somewhat familiar, as it's similar to one of the portions of the collage I made back in January.  I love using the Typeset Alphabet, there's just so much you can do with it.  The designer paper is from More Amore.  The center heart, here in Primrose Petals, is a laser cut heart that's included with the More Amore paper.  You get 2 full 12 x 12 sheets of hearts, one in Primrose Petals and one in Real Red.  The backside of each sheet is white so you can do just about anything with them.  Wouldn't they be perfect to use on that Valentine scrapbook page you're working on?
