More Swap Cards

Yesterday was Mini-Stamp Camp Day.  All the projects were fairly easy and the girls seemed to fly right through them.  The treat was some really scrumptious potato skins.  A couple of the gals noted that they were 'better than what you get in a restaurant'.  I think the key was the combination of olive oil, freshly grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper that was brushed on the outside and inside of the skins then put into a very hot oven (475 degrees).  They were cooked on both sides about 8 minutes, then the cheese and crumbled bacon were added and put back in the oven just long enough to melt the cheese.  Served with sour cream and chopped green onions, they were just plain yummy!  So we stamped and we snacked and it appeared that fun was had by all!

OK, so I said I'd share more swap cards.  Here are two more of my favorites.

On this first card, made by Heather Klump, the Pleasant Poppies stamp was embossed in white, then she used markers to simply fill in the void spaces on the flowers and the stems.  I thought for sure that she bleached out the color first, but she didn't!  I'm sure I'll be doing a rendition of this card in the future.

The Thanks So Much stamp is from the Hostess Set Simply Sketched.  Love, love, love that set.

This second card, which didn't have a name on the back, is simple yet eye popping with the addition of the silver glitter paper.  The color combination is Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana, Smokey Slate and Whisper White.  Stamp sets are Six-Sided Sampler with accompanying punch, and A Dozen Thoughts.  She used the Bitty Butterfly punch for a whimsical touch.  It's so pretty!

Thanks for visiting today!
