Yesterday I held a class that included the Magnificent Maple stamp with the event fee. It was a bit of a challenge using just that one stamp as the focal point but somehow I managed to pull it off!
This first project was a group favorite.
The color combination is Early Espresso, Baked Brown Sugar and Very Vanilla. The dotted paper is from the 2013-2015 In Color Paper Stack. Love that we get 4 sheets of each color/design, it makes it easy to share these wonderful papers in my classes. I also used a piece of Early Espresso Core'dinations card stock with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder, then sanded it to create the distressed look.
The new 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon is amazing. It lays flat and is so easy to work with. We sewed the button (retired) to the ribbon using our Linen Thread.
The key to producing this WOW element is to stamp first with Versamark ink and emboss with clear. Then stamp the background, in this case we used En Francais. Using a dauber, pick up Baked Brown Sugar ink from your pad and dab in all over the leaf making sure to get ink into all the little void areas and around the edge. Then take a clean piece of Kleenex or paper toweling and wipe off all the excess ink from the leaf. Voila! It just pops off the page!
Thank you for stopping by today!
