Label Card Thinlit Die

At yesterday's Mini-Stamp Camp my guests were able to play with the new Label Card Thinlit Die.  Though the cracking and crunching startled some of the attendees, they were quite impressed with the results.  I showed them how to make an extended card by trimming the base card so that it can be weaved out of the right end so that it's not cut.  It actually adds a nice score line so that you can just fold that piece in.  Here are the results!

The right side actually opens up.  As it is, it conceals your personal note.  We layered a piece of Core'dinations Card Stock in Early Espresso on the right side.  The base card is Baked Brown Sugar.
Stamps are from Truly Grateful.

The birch paper is from the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit.  Very cool stuff!

Now for just a little lesson about these thinlit dies.  They are not indestructable if handled incorrectly.  They must be sandwiched between your acrylic pads, and they must be laid in the direction where the die is completely covered by the acrylic pads.  If the die is positioned wrong and forced through the Big Shot the die will snap!  This was a most unfortunate event at class last evening.  My guest felt just awful, but accidents happen to the best of us!

So, on a lighter note, we substituted the Circle Card Thinlit Die and pushed forward, with a lesson learned!

Thanks for stopping by today!
