Christmas Stamp Camp 2013

Christmas Stamp Camp is my favorite event of the year.  It's always such a busy time for everyone, so I'm quite grateful for those that make time to attend.  We worked on Christmas themed projects, sipped on cranberry spritzers and just enjoyed each others company.  At noon I served a special luncheon of Pesto Chicken, Au gratin Potatoes, Green Beans with Butter Sauce, Cole Slaw with Dried Cherries, and tasty Herbed Rolls.  For dessert I splurged and bought a wonderful peppermint angel food cake from McKenzies Bakery in Kalamazoo.  It was divine!

Here are some snapshots of our event!

My sister, Judy, working on the Santa Claus card.

Friend and downline, Cheri, coloring in the Santa suit.

Friends Maria, Michelle (recently joined my downline) and Theresa concentrating on their projects.

Friend and downline, Jean, making her snowflake topper for the box project.

A blurry picture of friend, Linda.  Had to use it though, it's the only one she's in!

Friend and downline, Chris, usually won't let me take her picture! I took it too fast though, this one is blurry too!  I need to work on my photography skills.

Marie, concentrating on cutting out her poinsettia.

Look at all the lovely packages holding handmade gifts!!!
I'm always so excited to see what everyone has made.

Oh yes, here is the lovely cake with a small platter of macaroons.

A lovely blue cowl crocheted by Theresa and a clever password book with a package of beautiful handmade cards made by Chris.

It was certainly the year for scarves.  On the left, my hot pink scarf, then Judy's fan and feather scarf in luscious colors, and Cheri's festive red scarf.  How fun!

Michelle hand stitched beads onto this cute mitten ornament and filled the glass ornament with faux snow, greens and tiny pine cones.

Jean made this impressive sampler using awesome Stampin' UP! products.  Who wouldn't want to hang this on their wall!
Maria made this incredible basket.  I've seen many of her baskets and she's quite gifted.

Michelle drew my number and is wearing the scarf I made.

The hot pink was a stretch for me as I'm not a pink person, but I certainly was the day I picked up the soft baby alpaca to make this scarf.

It was a fun day!

Stay tuned, as I'll be posting the projects that we made over the next few days.

Thank you for stopping by today!
