Another Blocking Project

Since the weather has been so terrible this year I've been spending a lot of quiet moments knitting my little heart out.  I finished this project recently and it needed blocking badly!  It took an enormous number of pins to block it properly.  I probably should have used my wires, you can see that the edges aren't too straight although I did use a yard stick.  Live and learn.

Here is my Simple Fan & Feather Scarf on my "blocking mats".  You can find this pattern by Staci at snippetsandstash.blogspot.com

I wish I could tell you the yarn that was used here. Somewhere along the way the label was separated from the yarn. It is black and gray, very soft, I'm guessing it's Alpaca.  I had started two other projects using this yarn and ripped it out because it was difficult to work with.  Using a size 4 needle with the yarn on this project seemed to be the trick as I had no trouble at all working this up.

Here is the reason I made the scarf, it goes great with my gray coat.  I love it!
