I'm Back!

Gosh, where has the time gone.  Seems like March 1st was just a couple days ago, and now it's already the 9th.  I've been sick for a week, but that did not affect my typing ability, so I have absolutely no excuses at all. I really intended on posting 5 days a week, but I've let myself down and you as well.  Maybe my goal was too lofty, and I should stick with posts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  OK, let's try that.

I had the pleasure of accompanying my granddaughter, Abbie, to Sushi Ya in Kalamazoo to celebrate her ninth birthday.  What fun she is.  We both ordered one of the specials, called the Sunshine Roll, which was really a lot of food.  We both cleaned our plates and walked out comfortably full.  I'm not sure where the little one put all her food.  She said "it went in my leg", and we chuckled for a while about that.  It must be true as her tiny tummy can't possibly hold all that she ate.  We stopped back at the house to craft for a short time before her dad picked her up.  She loves to craft with her Gi Gi.

In February I held a special Mystery Hostess Event.  The following card was one that I used to demonstrate the Presto Pattern Paper.  It's really hard to see what it is in the catalog, but it's white paper embossed with white images.  In the following card I used Pear Pizazz classic ink brushed over the top of the Presto Pattern Paper with a sponge.  It certainly makes the paper versatile, because you can add any color of ink that you desire.  The focal point is a smaller card that opens to reveal a Very Vanilla heart.

The ruffled ribbon was made by pulling one of the inside threads of the Baja Breeze seam binding.
TIP:  Don't cut the seam binding until you are done pulling the thread.

The supplies that I used to make this card are as follows:

Stamp Set:  Love You Much

Paper:  Basic Black, and Very Vanilla cardstock, Presto Pattern Paper

Ink:  Pear Pizazz and Basic Black Classic Ink

Other Supplies:  Baja Breeze Seam Binding (from the Occasions Mini), Baja Breeze and Pear Pizazz Stampin' Write Markers, Basic Pearls, Paper-Piercing Tool
