So, I've piled enough wood from the front 5 acres to build a nice little house. Four piles, strategically placed around the property that I'll pick up between now and then when my hubby is home to hook the trailer to the tractor. No, I'm not a farm gal, a gardener yes, but not a farm gal. Heavy equipment makes me a bit nervous. But with that job done, my view out the front window looks much better.
That brings us to today's card. The stamp set I used, Bold Blossom, will not disappear with the expiration of the Occasions catalog the end of April. I took a peek at the upcoming Summer Mini online yesterday and there it was in all its springness (not sure that's a word, but we'll make it one). We used this set at a recent stamp camp. Check out those cute buttons. Those sweet little things were free, yes FREE, as one of the Sale-A-Bration rewards for purchasing $50 in product. You get like 48 of these little buttons plus 15 yards of the cutest 1/4" grosgrain floral printed ribbon. Sale-A-Bration only lasts through the end of March, so place your orders soon to take advantage of this great promotion!!!!
Here's what I used to make today's card:
Stamp Set: Bold Blossom
Paper: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Whisper White cardstock, Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive Classic Pads
Other Supplies: Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border, Sale-A-Bration Ice Cream Parlor ribbon & button pack, Big Shot, 3" Circle Die, Scallop Circle Die, Glue Dots (to attach the buttons)
TIP: I usually use our Linen Thread in my buttons, but sometimes I want a different color, so I go to my trusty stash of embroidery floss and pull out a color that matches. In this case I used 2 stands of white floss, it worked great on these tiny buttons.
Enjoy our spring like weather, I'll be back in a few days with another card!
