Summer Splash

About as close as I've come to surfing is sitting on a rock watching my nephew, Gary, surf with his friends at Seal Beach in California.  I've never really liked the water, especially salty water.  Then, after the movie Jaws came out, you could hardly get me in a pool.  Don't laugh, I was scared for years!

This new summer stamp set, Summer Splash, is one of those sets that you can have lots of fun with.  Today's card is one of the projects from my last stamp camp.  We heat embossed the surfboards so they look like the shiny surfboards you see propped up against the surf shop wall.  I'm not dreaming of surfing, but I can dream about spending some relaxing days by the ocean.

The products I used to make this summer surfin' birthday card are as follows:

Stamp Set:  Summer Splash, Best Dad Ever (greeting)

Paper:  Bravo Burgundy, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White Cardstock

Ink:  Craft Bravo Burgundy, Classic Daffodil Delight

Other Supplies:  Big Shot, Texture Plates Kit #4 (this is being discontinued), Basic Rhinestones, and dimensionals

So, if you've ever surfed, this card should make you smile.  If not, smile anyway, it's good for you!

Thank you for stopping by!
