As I sit here at my computer, the sun is beaming into my office and warming me on this chilly morning. It's going to be another beautiful day, and for the Stofer household, a day of finally being able to plant our vegetable garden. What a wet, wet spring it's been.
With spring comes a multitude of graduation parties. We have two this year. My son, Steve, who is a youth pastor, spends weekend after weekend this time of year at open houses. He has developed close bonds with so many of the youth that he has mentored, and he feels it's an honor to see them graduate and take their first steps as adults. I admire his dedication.
Today's graduation card was such a hit at my last stamp camp. Each of the ladies there commented that they knew exactly who they would give this card to. I, on the other hand, love it so much I can't even part with it!!! Isn't that funny, we make these cards to give to others but selfishly hoard them away. This owl punch is just too cute. I made the hat, just freehand. And the diploma is just a square punched from regular copy paper.
Here's what I used to make this cute card:
Stamp Sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Sanded (this is being retired the end of June)
Paper: Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Cream Naturals, Basic Gray, and So Saffron Cardstock
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black
Punches: Modern Label, Two-Step Owl, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle, 1-1/4" Square
Other Supplies: Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Black 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Brads
I hope you enjoy today's posting! Come back again!
