Joy

On Saturday afternoon I joined a few friends from high school for lunch and an amazing time of catching up.  My social skills aren't what they should be so I only spent time chatting with a couple people.  It's funny how our personalities are so different.  Carol (still a vivacious cheerleader) was the star of the afternoon, engaging everyone in chatter about the whereabouts of many of our classmates.  I haven't really kept in touch with more than a few, usually seeing them at church or within my crafting circle.  My friend Marti greeted me with a comment concerning the strawberry bread that I'd baked for the mini-camp.  Now this is not someone I've seen in years, so how did she know about my strawberry bread???  Well, it seems she reads my blog.  I had to chuckle.  It really got me thinking about WHO is reading my blog.  There are rarely any comments, although I do run into fellow stampers that compliment me on the projects I post.  So, I'm wondering about you; who you are, where you live, how you found my blog?  It would be fun to meet you!

So, on to today's card.  The vase in this project is really a birdcage from the stamp set Aviary.  I just cut away the top of the cage, and voila, we have a vase.  I have to commend so many of my fellow demonstrators who have the gift of vision.  They can look at a punch or a stamp and see beyond what it's original purpose is.  God did not give me the gifts of patience or vision.  That's why I am so grateful for those that have those gifts, that make my life less frustrating.

Notice that the embossing is done backwards so that the raised image
is on the inside of the card.
