This morning I was looking through my pile of cards that are waiting to be posted to my blog. I ran across one that I should have had up during the effective period of the Summer Mini. Woops! The girls did this card on the last day of August, and a couple grabbed up the Sail Away stamp while they could. I thought about possibly forgetting it, but there are a couple techniques here that I wanted to share. With fall coming, and a lot of people loving all the fun Halloween stamps, the same technique could be used to make a moon instead of a sun. All that you have to do is punch out a 2-1/2" circle out of a sheet of cardstock, and use the outside as your template. I sponged on Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Tangerine Tango to get the brilliance of color for my sun. You want to sponge your sun or moon first, then stamp your image over the top of it. The sails were stamped again on a separate piece of cardstock, then cut out and adhered over the sun as my last step.
A big 'thank you' to Sandy Hancock for a great tutorial on this card. You can find it at: http://www.sandystamper.com

Thanks for stopping by today!
Oh how I wished you had posted this in August. I was looking for masculine card idea for my brother-in-law. He loves ships, too. Next year...
