Make & Takes - Part 1

Yesterday, I spent a great deal of time finishing up my make & takes from Leadership.  It was a very enjoyable adventure!  I loved all the projects and plan on using some of them in an upcoming class that focuses on the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit.  This product has two sheets of blossom die cuts, plus a sheet of pink rhinestones.  The catalog picture doesn't do this kit justice.  You'll see something from this kit in every project.  You'll also see a lot of  two stamp sets from the Occasions Mini; Mixed Bunch and Loving Thoughts.  And if the blossoms aren't part of the kit, they were punched with the new Blossom punch!

We completed 2 of this first project, and one was donated to the Ronald McDonald House in Salt Lake City.  Can you find the Blossom Builder piece on this first card?  And what a sweet idea, to cut slits in the petals!

I had never used the Tea Stain Distressing Ink before Leadership.  It was fun to use, and gave some of the projects a vintage look, without being too much.  I wasn't aware until yesterday that Stampin' UP! has the refills for the Distressing Inks, although they aren't shown in the catalog.  So, if you need refills, let me know!

I'm pretty monochromatic when it comes to designing and creating cards, but the Stampin' UP! designers are bold with their color combinations, and amazingly I love them!

This project is made to put into an 8 x 10 frame.  I'll show it again, once I get a frame.  The words were created using My Digital Studio.  Another great idea to utilize the fabulous MDS software.  Tea Stain Die was used here to soften the white.

Tomorrow evening I'll post the rest of the make & takes.  I hope you've enjoyed today's projects!

Thanks for dropping by!
