Paper Crafting Fun!

Sometimes I break out of my mold and venture off into other areas of paper crafting.  This big paper clip flower was a fun project to do.  A little too much fine detail for some people, but I really enjoyed putting this together.

Each petal is punched from the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, then cut in half (between the scallops).  Wrap each half into a cone and secure with sticky strip.  I overlapped two scallops on each end to make the tiny cones.  Some of the girls only overlapped one scallop and it just made a little larger petal.  Full scalloped circles were punched out of coordinating cardstock and layered onto the back with sticky strip.  The Antique Brad was added, then the back scallop circle was added to sandwich in the over sized paper clip, again with sticky strip. I also placed a Dimensional inside the paper clip area to help secure the gap.  This process makes a sturdy little flower that holds up well.  I think they are just adorable!
