After much planning, on a fabulous day, at a very fabulous venue, my daughter's bridal shower took place. With about 39 of Kathy's close friends and family we celebrated her upcoming wedding. It was an emotional day, as Kathy was flooded with memories of those who could not be there. A pair of favorite earrings that belonged to her Grandma Stofer, a stitched doily that her Grandma Hommerding made. I think that she was overwhelmed with the generosity that filled that day. There were many who came a great distance to share in her joy. It really did touch her heart that so many took the time to come. I will never forget that beautiful day filled with laughter and tears, presents and good wishes. She is my baby, and I'm so proud of the woman that she has become. Today, I'm sharing some of the pictures that my son, Steve, took at the shower. I'm so grateful for him as well, for giving his afternoon for his little sister. Southern Exposure did a magnificent job of making that day a dream come true for her. Their hospitality is unmatchable!
There were a total of 3 signs directing guests to the 'Milking Parlour' where the event was held.
A candid shot of the gift table.
Kathy's step-sister Sara, and sister-in-law Mindi.
Yes, an emotional day for the bride-to-be.
A wonderful lunch prepared by Chef Elsie and the staff at Southern Exposure.
The 'dahlia' cupcakes were made by Continental Bakery. Filled with a squirt of custard, they were the perfect ending for a perfect lunch.
Lots and lots of presents!
I just love this picture.
Me, Kathy and her lovely mom-in-law to be!
Diane Elwell, a very special friend.
