Crunch, Crunch, Crunch!

Our lawn is burnt to a crisp, literally.  When I take a walk around the yard to visit my plants it's 'crunch, crunch, crunch'.  We have quite a large yard, and live back from the road so we just let the yard go, concentrating on watering our massive vegetable garden and my numerous perennial gardens.  Yesterday, as I was doing some watering and pulling weeds out of the bean bed, I decided to take some pictures of some of my flowers so I could share them with you.

Bee Balm with Margarite Daisys.

My Oak Leaf Hydrangea.  The deer love this bush, I have to spray it regularly with 'Go Away You Stupid Deer'.

My Shasta Daisy is loaded with blossoms.  The Purple Coneflowers are just starting to open, you can see one in the upper right corner.

I love Zinnias!  I always plant a row of them across the front of our vegetable garden.  This year I opted for a smaller variety, usually I buy State Fair Mix which grows to about 36".  Unfortunately I threw away the tag on these, so have no idea what the variety is, but I think they'll only get about 20" tall.  They are really doing well though!

Amazingly my Salvia survived our very mild Michigan winter so I didn't have to replant it in the spring.  Isn't it beautiful!

Tomorrow I'll be back with projects from today's Mini-Stamp Camp, so stay tuned!

And thanks a bunch for stopping by!
