Hope

Sometimes God just lays something on my heart, sometimes it's personal, but more often its words that I need to share with others.

'In your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.  Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have'.  1 Peter 3:15

Hope.  If we trust in the Lord we have hope.  We have hope through all of His many promises.  We have expectations, because we know His word is true.  As the greeting on this card reads,  Hope is a wish with a lot of clout.  To believers, that clout is Christ.  It seems at this moment in time I have so many friends and acquaintances that are either grieving or struggling with the anticipation of losing a loved one.  The bible says that we have hope, like an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.  I pray that each of you seek God in your times of struggle and KNOW beyond a doubt, that he is the one true God who knows your need and will meet you in the midst of your sorrow.

Today's card captures the colors of fall.  The flower and word stamps are from Blooming with Kindness.  I stamped the flower on watercolor paper, and just played with the colors using my markers and an Aqua Painter.  A little So Saffron, a little More Mustard, a bit more Cajun Craze to give it some depth. It's probably a little overworked, you could most likely do a much better job. The Very Vanilla piece was embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder giving this card some fun texture.  The scallops you see are actually ribbon,  specifically More Mustard Scallop Dots Ribbon.  Framing the flower using the Window Frames Framelits made this card super easy.

I hope you enjoyed today's post!

'Show me your way's, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.'   Psalm 25:4-5
