Delicate Serene Silhouettes

Delicate is not a description anyone would use to describe me.  I may be petite, but I've never been delicate.  In my early days I loved to forage through the woods with my dad, looking for mushrooms.  I can remember many late evenings we'd put these metal stakes in the ground wired with an electric current and it would drive the night crawlers right out of the ground.  Then we'd use those worms to go fishing the next day.  My dad always told me "if you're going to fish, you're going to bait your own hook".  So I learned early on to toughen up. He also taught me how to use power tools, and I loved making things with a jig saw. Delicate?  Not me.

I suppose I should get back to the task at hand.  It's funny how a single word can trigger memories. Well, today's card is another example of using the stamp set Serene Silhouettes.

The watercolor look on the flowers was done by using markers directly onto the stamp.  I used Pink Pirouette, Primrose Petals and Always Artichoke. Place your color on the image, give a little huff to re-moisten, then stamp.

This next camera shot makes the card look a weird size but its the typical 5-1/2 x 4-1/4.  I'm working on my camera skills, and just purchased a new camera (not used here).  Still playing and learning about it before I share any pictures with you.

The designer papers are Twitterpated and First Edition.  The 'get well soon' stamp is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.

The Polka Dot Embossing Folder adds texture and is just darn sweet looking!

Lot's to do today, so I'm off!  It's suppose to be a beautiful day here in Michigan.  Wish you were here!

Thanks for stopping by!
