Sweet Celebrations

Yesterday, my youngest grandson turned eight.  How quickly they grow up.  He's a very rambunctious eight year old, especially after I share my dark chocolate with him.  It's always a ritual when he comes to visit.  First he just eyes the bowl holding scrumptious pieces of dark chocolate, then politely asks for a piece, or two or three.  I also share with him my special stash which includes Lindt dark chocolate truffles.  I've learned not to share the dark chocolate covered walnuts, as he could devour a pound of them in a wink of an eye.  Those are a special treat that my sweet daughter brings to me when she visits from Grand Rapids.  I don't feel too bad about giving Bryce dark chocolate, after all, it's good for us!  Right?

Today's card depicts the sweetness of a cake filled birthday celebration.  Another Pinterest find, but I'm not sure who the creator is.  I added my own special touches to the card to make it my own.

The stamps used here are from Cycle Celebrations.  An awesome set!  We stamped the framed greeting in Coastal Cabana on Whisper White, punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch, then stamped it again in Cherry Cobbler and punched out the inside with the Large Oval Punch.   I used the Chalk Talk framelits to make the green tag.  Birthday Basics Designer Paper and the white Baker's Twine both add to the fun of this card.  And we can't forget the cute little white Candy Dot!

Thanks for dropping by today!
