Open House, Check!

Oh yes, having the planning phase and the doing phase of my catalog open house over I was able to enjoy a wonderfully relaxing weekend at our little get-away place up north.  It's funny how up tight I get in the planning phase, then I'm completely calm and relaxed when it's over.  Sometimes our jaunts to the north country are only a few days from an important stamping event, and during those trips my nerves are on edge.  I'm never quite sure why I get all tangled up inside.  Maybe it's because I feel that my customers are counting on me to be on top at all times!!!  Hey, that's a good thing because it keeps me on my toes!!!

So, with the open house behind me I thought I'd share just a couple tidbits about the event.  I felt so blessed with eighteen guests stopping by.  I was elated!  My kitchen island served as 'buffet table' with lots of yummy eats for my guests.

Tasty treats included Jalapeno Corn Dip with chips, Yogurt Parfaits, Veggies with Green Goddess Dressing, Lemon Puppy Chow, Chipotle Chicken and Guacamole Bites,  and some store bought pastry treats. My Strawberry Slushies weren't enjoyed by all as I didn't get them out of the freezer in time. Whoops! There was also a punch that I couldn't ever duplicate as it had leftover ingredients from the slushies, juice from the cans of pineapple and mandarin oranges, juice from 4 lemons and as I served it I added ginger ale.

Each guest received a new catalog, a sheet of card stock in each of the five new In Colors, and this cute little Post It Note holder that was made using some of the new Maritime Designer Series Paper.  These were made using the Envelope Punch Board, too cute!!!

Here is the make and take that we did.  It's a Mary Fish CASE!  Thank you Mary for your wonderful card ideas, always crisp and clean, and always reproducible!!  I just loved this card, and duplicated it almost exactly.  It was an odd size so it gave us all the opportunity to pull out the Envelope Punch Board and have a little lesson.  Many of my customers have purchased it, but were just not confident in using it.

Stamp Set:  Work of Art

Oh how I'm loving these new colors!!!!!  Blackberry Bliss,  Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon.
And the new ribbons are luscious!

In my craft room I set up a small display of new Stampin' UP! products.  Lots of goodies to see and touch!

That about sums it up!  Fun was had by all!

Thanks for stopping by today!
